The purpose of the project was to measure environmental conditions such as e.g. temperature or humidity and store this information an a WSN. Each of these measurements should be obtaioned by a sensor device and distributed to other sensors in the network to make the system fault tolerant.
If one or more sensors in the system should fail or be offline, it should still be possible to get the measurement from the other sensors in the system because of the distribution.
The project concerned both degree of robustness and space consumtion.
The implementation has been done on the opensensor v2 as a student project as well as on the v3 which was presented at IEEE ICC 2008 Coconet workshop in Beijing.
