Life-long Learning: Mobile Applications

This course intends to look into the mobile phone ecosystem. It should explain the value chain from programming over distribution to the monetization of mobile apps. As there are several platforms such as iPhone, Android, Symbian, S40, Windows Mobile, RIM, those platforms are introduced in detail. The platforms will be introduced and the differences in API flexibility, market shares etc will be shown.

In the second half of the course an introduction to programming on different platforms will be given for different platforms. The audience has the possibility to see a step by step development of a mobile app.
